The building displays historical decor.. it reminded me of stepping back in time. Breakfast included various choices. The gluten-free options were appreciated. Staff members were helpful in providing directions and suggestions for our stay. The hotel's garden was well kept and offered a peaceful area to relax.

The room lacked a refrigerator, which would have been useful for storing drinks.

The hotel is near a metro station. This allowed easy access to the city center. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet . The hotel is positioned away from main tourist areas. It suited our preference for quieter surroundings.

The reception staff were very attentive to our requests . The staff organised a birthday cake surprise for another guest during breakfast. This included flowers and well wishes adding a personal touch. The luggage assistance was helpful because there is no elevator.

the staff were super friendly and helpful. i especially enjoyed the unique cave bar, where happy hour offered great value with buy-one-get-one-free deals. the cheese and chorizo boards, along with the flaming sausage, were a good taste of portuguese cuisine.

the mattress in the royal room could perhaps use an update.

the hotel is not far from the metro. it is a manageable walk to the river, taking approximately twenty minutes. the metro provides quicker access for those who prefer it.

the breakfast room was beautifully decorated. the staff were friendly. the building had character. gluten-free options were available during breakfast.

the location was a bit far from the main areas. the family suite i was assigned had internal furniture issues. the room felt dark. i found one bedroom without windows.

gorgeous gardens nice staff city views

i loved staying here! the gardens are sooo gorgeous. every staff member i met was nice. the breakfast setting is just beautiful with historical elements. my top floor room had perfect city views!

the stairs were a killer. i mean, i wasn't expecting it but there are many stairs to climb. it made it not so accessible, i think.

the breakfast room was really beautiful. the breakfast itself offered quite good choices. at night, it was quiet. the staff were kind.

The location felt a bit far from the main areas. there wasn't much else to do in the area apart from the hotel. our room was in a block that smelled of cement render.
